1949 — The body of Leon Besnard is exhumed in Loudon, France, by authorities searching for evidence of poison. His wife of twenty years, Marie, or "The Queen of Posoiners" as she was locally known, got away with poisoning most of Leon's family. She started with his father, then his mother, and after the inheritence was split between Leon and his sister, sis became victim number three. The couple then knocked off their boarders the Rivets, inheriting their estate, then two cousins. Earlier this year Marie fell in love with another man, poisoned Leon Besnard, and ultimately gets away with a total of 13 murders due to lack of evidence.
2003 — Brooklyn newlywed Jason Thomas, 25, attacks his wife of three weeks, Judy Castillo-Thomas, 27, while she's on the computer in their Cypress Hills home, beating her and saying she's too skinny and her butt is too small. Judy grabs a knife and tries to escape, and stabs Jason as he tries to trap her at the door, killing him. Two years from now Judy will testify that Jason beat her and sometimes choked her to the point where she fainted. Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Matthew D'Emic will rule there's not enough evidence to convict her of manslaughter. The couple have a five-year-old son.
