BHP XI
2001: M Studios, West Village, NYC

We launched the first Black Hearts Party website, attracting visitors from Canada, France, Belgium, Australia, Iceland, and an unidentified US military base.

The New York Times runs an article about the party in the Sunday Styles section. This leads to a mention in the Boston Herald. The Birmingham Home News interviews the hosts for a similar such story but subsequently decides not to run it.

Despite the woeful lack of press coverage in Alabama, the party kicks off with two DJs, a disturbing 30' floral display, a voodoo shrine for cursing your exes, a lounge draped in shredded porno videotape, and a charming display involving two valentines teddy bears and a pig’s heart.

Precious Memories:

The highly entertaining and popular Chamber of Destiny made its first appearance, bringing together friends and strangers in a way that can only be achieved by a giant wheel that tells you what to do to someone.

The Nearly Naked Couple.

The two people that ducked into the Nasty Room for oral sex but were turned back when they discovered two other couples already in mid-act.

A team of dominatrices showed up, one of which was later seen flogging a monk’s naked ass.

Somehow we ended up with a photo of a security guard posing with a bare breast that didn’t belong to said security guard.

Only one person received every curse available on the list at the curse-your-ex voodoo shrine: Darryl.

The open bar combined with the scarcity of available restrooms led to unfortunate urination taking place out on the sidewalk, in the stairwell, on the roof, and in cups behind the coat rack and deep inside the Nasty Room.

Somebody stole Ian’s hat and camera, as well as Darryl’s size 15, double-wide 3" high black platform boots, leaving him to walk home in his socks. If anyone out there sees anyone in a pair of size 15, double-wide 3" high black platform boots wearing a hat please let us know so we can kick their ass.
