1993: New Brunswick, NJ

Two years later, having exhausted every conceivable way of meeting men, Marc and Aimee get really desperate and decide to host a party for the sole purpose of getting laid. They mistakenly assume that hosting a large party will get them the kind of attention they so badly crave, and decide to resurrect the Black Party just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Invitations to Black Party III include the phrase "No mimes" as a reassurance to college advisor / guru Tracy, who had recently suffered trauma in a mime-related incident. Note that from this point forward all Black Party invitations include the "No mimes" clause in honor of Tracy.

Precious Memories:

One guest’s girlfriend showed up in a bright red and white Valentine’s sweater and withstood about eight minutes of abuse before leaving and becoming the first Black Party fashion casualty.

The fun party game in the basement: "Pin The Tail On the Happy Couple".

Most of the seventy party guests managed to hook up with somebody by the end of the night, sparking all kinds of ill-conceived match-ups. Some of those involved still haven't forgiven themselves for what seemed like a good idea at the time — and you know who you are.

Sadly, the only people who didn’t get lucky were Marc and Aimee, who ended up finishing a keg together in a corner of the basement at five in the morning.
