BHP II
1991: New Brunswick, NJ

Having more or less forgiven Niki, Marc agrees to cohost a more evolved Black Party for Valentine’s Day in protest of the most wretched holiday imaginable. The party reacted against everything valentine, and provided a haven for about fifty frustrated friends with no valentine plans and nothing to celebrate.

Precious Memories:

A giant broken black heart on the front door that read "Black Party in Progress, leave your date at the door".

A black table was laid out with the now-familiar black food and black drinks

Minimal décor included black balloons and streamers, plus giant lyric sheets with classic Smiths lyrics like "I wear black on the outside cause black is how I feel on the inside"

The party wallowed late into the night at which point everyone got really stoned and drew on each others faces with lipstick.
