Looking to add some cheap thrills to your illicit lust? You could meet in some out-of-the-way dive bar, but luck being what it is, you’ll run into someone you know. So you may as well go to a place where your encounter will be taped, broadcast, and made available on the Internet!
Remote is the meat market of the future, as it combines the thrills of voyeurism with the technology of our Homeland Security Office. Each table is equipped with a camera, monitor, and control panel so you can see what's happening at all the other tables in the bar — just like they can see you and your date. Joysticks are provided so if you don’t like the looks of the person on your screen, you can move the camera’s position to see how little clothing the person next to them is wearing. The images in the little film that you’re now directing (and starring in) are shown on monitors throughout the bar, outside on the street, and are captured and posted to Remote's website.
If you’re feeling guilty about your date, or if you want to add someone else to your naughty mix, a phone is made available on your table’s console so you can call someone else in the bar. This generally leads to sexy shouted conversations such as "’Hi! Where are you??’ ‘I’m in the bar!!’". And as with Internet romances, that person that looks really great on screen will make you want to duck and cover when you actually see them sitting two tables over.
Why, you ask, would anyone choose to cheat on their other half in the only bar in town with more broadcasting cameras than Times Square? The bottom line: no one would ever dream anyone would be ballsy enough to take your cheatin’ ways here. |
